Chinese startup Spirit AI has claimed the top position on the RoboArena leaderboard with a score of 1,924, surpassing Nvidia's 1,881. This marks a historic win for Chinese AI, as it's the first time they have topped this benchmark. Spirit AI's foundation model, Spirit v1.6, outperformed Nvidia's Cosmos3-Nano-Policy. Meanwhile, Nvidia's DreamZero trailed in third. The competition highlights a growing dominance of Chinese companies in physical AI. Spirit AI recently raised $222 million, pushing its valuation over $1.4 billion. The Chinese robotics sector attracted $3.4 billion in venture funding in 2025, outpacing the U.S. as the gap widens. Nvidia is also active, forming partnerships to strengthen its position in this shifting landscape.
