Alibaba has unveiled the Zhenwu V900, a powerful AI chip boasting three times the performance of its predecessor. CEO Eddie Wu announced this at the Apsara cloud conference, detailing the chip's capabilities for advanced model training and inference. Alibaba targets significant growth in AI chip shipments and aims for $100 billion in revenue from AI by 2028. The company is also expanding its data center capacity to 20GW by 2032. Major investments of over $53 billion are fueling this AI expansion, reflecting in a recent 5.1% rise in stock value.
