Vogue Italia's May Issue Features AI-Generated Imagery for Cover Shoot

Vogue Italia's May issue used AI-generated imagery in their cover shoot using OpenAI's DALL-E2. The shoot was a collaboration between human artists, a photographer, stylist, and AI-artist. Ethical concerns about the commercialization of AI-generated art and the replacement of human work with machine labor were not addressed. Some artists have already lost work as a result of the use of AI. Vogue Italia likely has the funds to pay humans for their work, and the AI-created imagery isn't outside of what a human could create. Despite concerns, AI-generated imagery has made its debut in fashion magazines.
