Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has previewed a range of new generative AI tools for use on its family of platforms, including Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed the tools at an all-hands meeting, including AI chatbots, stickers, and photo-editing capabilities. Additionally, he announced plans to hold an internal AI hackathon in July focused on generative AI. The company plans to release its AI agents on Messenger and WhatsApp, before later expanding to smart glasses. Artificial intelligence-powered Ray-Ban Stories are already available. The tools will be free for users as Meta's business is ad-supported.
