Inworld AI characters can enhance game interaction, says Jeff Schomay

In his latest article, game developer and narrative designer Jeff Schomay discusses the use of artificial intelligent (AI) chat bots to enhance game interaction. While exploring the concept of using generative AI, which provides unlimited content at minimal expense, Schomay found the biggest challenge to be ludo narrative dissonance, which occurs when what is happening in the story does not align with what is going on in the game. He also suggests that, in order to create personalised content and increase immersion, a lot of techniques can overlap and work well together.
