AI Infiltrating 2024 US Elections: Experts Warn
Experts warn that advanced artificial intelligence (AI) could infiltrate the upcoming 2024 US Elections, with the potential to reshape the nation and spread propaganda that could affect the election outcome. AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, DALL-E 2, Midjourney AI, Stability Diffusion AI and more have already caused concerns about disrupting the democratic process. The generative tools mentioned above could sway public opinion and spread propaganda. Deceptive content such as fake news, misinformation and different forms of propaganda may also significantly arise during the election period. With the significant rise of powerful AI generators for content found over social media, experts warn about potential deepfaked images and videos that could bring influential people to "light" with AI-imagined creations. Cyber experts have already issued information on the safest voting method which still relies on old-school paper voting to avoid election fraud.
