AI Chatbot falsely accuses law professor of sexual harassment
OpenAI's ChatGPT has reportedly made up sexual harassment allegations against prominent lawyer Jonathan Turley, referencing a fake article in The Washington Post. The accusations, which include claims that Turley made sexual remarks and touched a student during a class trip to Alaska, are false and have been labeled incredibly harmful by Turley. The AI chatbot has also been found to repeat its claims when approached by other news outlets. Similar incidents of AI chatbot misinformation have been reported in the past, and Turley has expressed concern about the potential for such technologies to be used for further abuse.
