Tech Giants Limit Services to Hong Kong Users Amid Tensions with Chinese Government

US tech giants including Google and Microsoft's OpenAI have limited their services available to users in Hong Kong to prevent criticisms from the Chinese government. The decision is believed to be a result of the national security law criminalizing criticisms against the government. Hong Kong users can still access chatbots using special third-party applications or virtual private networks. Other companies like Disney have chosen not to make certain content available in Hong Kong. These restrictions come after Hong Kong's Department of Justice dragged Google to court over politically sensitive content related to Hong Kong.
