OpenAI Teams Up with Broadcom to Build Custom AI Chips!

OpenAI has partnered with Broadcom to create custom chips aimed at boosting its AI capabilities. This collaboration will allow OpenAI to deploy 10 gigawatts of AI accelerators, significantly enhancing computing power for applications like ChatGPT. The project is set to commence in the second half of 2026 and finish by the end of 2029, amid efforts to reduce reliance on Nvidia.
