Intron Health, a member of NVIDIA Inception, has developed a program that uses natural language processing and speech recognition to cut the amount of time busy African doctors spend on paperwork. The software, available for use in several hospitals across the continent, also maximizes the number of patients doctors are able to see. Intron has also gathered over a million sound bites of medical terms spoken in different African accents, making it a valuable resource for research into clinician speech recognition.
