Neuralangelo: NVIDIA Research Unveils Revolutionary AI Model for 3D Reconstruction

NVIDIA Research has introduced Neuralangelo, an AI model that uses neural networks to generate lifelike 3D structures from 2D video clips. The AI model can reconstruct intricate details and textures of real-world objects, from sculptures to buildings, and import them into design applications for industries such as video game development, art, and robotics. Prior 3D scene reconstruction models struggled with capturing repetitive texture patterns, homogenous colors and strong color variations, but Neuralangelo uses instant neural graphics primitives to capture these finer details. It will be showcased along with other NVIDIA Research projects at the Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) in June.
