Microsoft Launches Largest Cloud Region in India with Hyderabad Data Center

Microsoft has officially launched its fourth Indian cloud region in Hyderabad, marking a milestone in its $17.5 billion commitment to India. The new site features three availability zones and employs a zero-water cooling system. It joins existing regions in Pune, Chennai, and Mumbai, claiming the largest hyperscale cloud footprint in India. Major Indian clients include HDFC Bank and Bajaj Finance. The company has aggressively invested in renewable energy projects, supporting over 1,000 MW of power. While the region’s services are live, more offerings will be released gradually. IDC predicts rapid growth in India's public cloud market, reaching $45.7 billion by 2030.
