Japanese city Yokosuka uses AI technology ChatGPT to boost workforce efficiency
In a bid to improve efficiency, Japanese city Yokosuka has initiated a one-month trial allowing its 4,000 municipal employees to use artificial intelligence bot ChatGPT for administrative tasks. The city is the first in the nation to employ ChatGPT in this way. The trial is using ChatGPT during its trial for tasks such as drafting documents and developing copy. The federal government has signaled it is open to the idea of widespread adoption of the tool across the nation. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said he is considering opening an OpenAI office in the country, and once security concerns are addressed, the government will "use AI to reduce the workloads of national public servants".
