Everseen, an Irish-based startup that uses computer vision to reduce theft at self-checkout counters, has raised €65 million in a Series A round led by Crosspoint Capital Partners, bringing its total funding to nearly $90 million. Everseen's platform processes video of products and customer interactions to detect and track objects of interest to prevent shrinkage in stores. The startup plans to expand its AI-powered anti-theft solutions to supply chain and manufacturing sectors. Despite potential privacy and ethical concerns, Everseen counts over half of the world's top 15 retailers among its customers, with deployments in more than 6,000 retail stores worldwide.
