China Creates Humanoid Robot with Natural Facial Expressions

A research team in China led by Professor Liu Xiaofeng has developed a humanoid robot with human-like facial expressions. The robot, introduced in a scientific journal, uses a two-step approach based on Action Units (AUs) to display diverse and realistic expressions. Meanwhile, Disney has also developed a robot capable of emotive movements, aiming to engage viewers emotionally and create interactive experiences.
