Bill Gates Predicts AI Personal Assistant Could Disrupt Google and Amazon
During a Goldman Sachs and SV Angel event on artificial intelligence, Bill Gates predicted that the first company to develop an AI personal assistant will have a leg up on competitors as it could radically alter user behaviors. The technology could mean that people never need to visit a search website, use certain productivity tools, or shop on Amazon again. Gates also believes that the future top company in artificial intelligence will likely have created a personal digital agent that can perform certain tasks for people. Gates said there is a 50-50 chance that this future AI winner will be either a startup or a tech giant, and it will take some time until this powerful future digital agent is ready for mainstream use.
