OpenAI's Jalapeño Chip Outshines Nvidia in AI Benchmark Tests!

OpenAI has introduced its new AI chip, Jalapeño, claiming it delivers faster responses and better efficiency than Nvidia’s superchips. Tested on InferenceX, Jalapeño shows 1.5 to 1.9 times more output per watt. It offers 1.7 to 3.6 times lower latency, promising enhanced performance. OpenAI plans to roll out Jalapeño in small numbers by the year's end and ramp up production in 2027.
