Apple TV+ Show Silo's Creator Says AI Movies Coming Soon
Author and tech thinker Hugh Howey, creator of post-apocalyptic book trilogy Silo, has spoken about his new show coming to Apple TV+ called Silo, AI, and the future of the film industry. Howey speaks with excitement about the potential for AI-generated film scripts, saying, "We are less than a year or two away from giving AI a film script and then watching that film the same day. Production costs are going to go to ZERO. Within 5 years, great-looking films will be made this way. Within 20 years, almost all films will be made this way." Howey also discussed the recent rise of AI mania and the fear and excitement it elicits in people. He concludes that AI is not something to be feared but rather embraced creatively.
