XPeng Launches China's First In-House Robotaxi Production!

XPeng has officially commenced production of its first robotaxi in Guangzhou, marking a significant milestone as the first traditional automaker to do so in China. The robotaxi features XPeng’s proprietary technology, including Turing AI chips and a state-of-the-art VLA 2.0 software stack. Initial production will be modest, with operations starting safely in the second half of the year. Fully autonomous services are targeted for early 2027. The company aims to diversify its offerings, competing against established players like Baidu and Pony.ai.
