Jean-Baptiste Kempf, the lead developer of VLC, has raised $5 million for his startup Kyber, an SDK for controlling remote devices with minimal latency. Lightspeed led the investment, targeting robotics, drones, and remote IT access. Kyber has already commenced commercial deployments in several sectors.
