Vimeo Introduces AI-Powered Tools for Video Editing

Video hosting platform Vimeo has announced a new suite of AI-powered tools aimed at helping users create scripts, record footage, and edit videos more efficiently. The new tools will be available from July 17 as part of Vimeo’s Standard plan, which costs $20 per month. According to Vimeo, the tools are aimed at entry-level video creators who may lack the experience, time and resources to create professional-looking videos. The suite includes a script generator that uses generative AI to create a video script, a teleprompter tool and a text-based video editor that removes filler words and awkward pauses. The tools can be used to create promotional videos, virtual events and company meetings, and to generate quote clips for marketing videos.
