US Unveils $6 Billion CHIPS Act Funding for Samsung and Texas Instruments

The US Commerce Department has secured over $6 billion in CHIPS Act funding for Samsung and Texas Instruments. Samsung will receive $4.745 billion for its Texas chip facilities, adjusting from an initial $6.4 billion proposal. Texas Instruments is set to gain $1.61 billion for its $18 billion investment in new production sites. Smaller awards were also announced, including $407 million for Amkor Technology.
