UK Urged to Reinvent Cybersecurity for Quantum Threats

The UK's National Cyber Security Centre warns of a 'colossal' need to reshape cybersecurity in response to advancing quantum computers. CTO Ollie Whitehouse highlighted that current encryption could be compromised, urging organisations to adopt post-quantum cryptography (PQC). A national-scale tech change programme is essential, with a migration deadline set for 2035. Meanwhile, Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) remains an exploration for ultimate security.
