Uber and Nuro Launch Employee Test Rides for Premium Robotaxi Service!

Uber and Nuro have commenced employee test rides of their premium robotaxi service in San Francisco, using the Lucid Gravity SUV equipped with advanced autonomous technology. A human safety operator is present during the rides. Uber plans to purchase at least 20,000 of these vehicles over six years. The venture is backed by a substantial investment from Uber, enhancing its robotaxi fleet. Public rollout is scheduled for late 2026.
