Square Enix, Latest to Use AI-Generated Art, Confirmed in Foamstars Game

Square Enix's upcoming game, Foamstars, will feature AI-generated artwork, according to the game's producer, Kosuke Okatani. While the majority of the game's art is still created by humans, the use of the software program "Midjourney" has allowed for the production of limited artwork, specifically in-game album covers. This marks Square Enix's continued exploration and adoption of AI technology in their game development process. Foamstars will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on February 6, with a free access period for PlayStation Plus members.
