SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won announced a groundbreaking plan to invest approximately 2,100 trillion won ($1.37 trillion) over a decade. The plan includes 1,000 trillion won for AI data centers, termed 'intelligence factories,' and 1,100 trillion won for expanding semiconductor supply. Notably, SK hynix will accelerate its Yongin cluster's completion to 2033. Chey emphasized sustainable supply for memory to avoid market pitfalls. Execution will depend on demand and infrastructure.
