Samsung Eyes Vietnam for DRAM and Flash Operations Relocation

Samsung Electronics is considering moving its DRAM and NAND flash operations from South Korea to Vietnam to enhance high-bandwidth memory (HBM) production. This strategic shift would optimize space for HBM stacking, vital for AI capabilities. The company aims to increase HBM wafer output significantly by 2026.
