PayPal Introduces New AI Features to Drive Faster Purchases and Personalization
PayPal's CEO, Alex Chriss, has announced the release of new artificial intelligence (AI) features aimed at enhancing the purchasing experience for consumers and sales for merchants. These features include Fastlane, a one-click guest checkout that saves users' information for quicker transactions, and Smart Receipts, which suggests future purchases and offers incentives for repeat transactions. PayPal also plans to develop an "advanced offers platform" to personalize offers for customers based on their previous purchases globally. Despite the announcement, PayPal's shares fell 4.6% amid concerns of market manipulation and perceived lack of revolutionary information.
