Pathfinder: The First U.S. Quantum Computer at Oak Ridge Unveiled!

On June 16, 2026, Oak Ridge National Laboratory launched Pathfinder, a 20-qubit quantum processor from IQM Quantum Computers, marking the first U.S. commercial quantum installation. Integrated with ORNL's supercomputer Frontier, Pathfinder will enhance research in materials simulations and AI. Unique for its ownership model, ORNL controls all data and IP. A Nasdaq listing vote for IQM is set for June 25, shortly after this milestone.
