UK startup Oriole Networks announces the deployment of the world's first large-scale photonic AI network, designed to reduce core power consumption by 81% and GPU idle time to less than 1%. The system, in collaboration with AMD, will be tested at the £50 million ARIA Scaling Inference Lab. This marks a significant step toward optimizing AI inference performance across data centers.
