OpenAI Suspends Delphi for Violating Usage Policies with ChatGPT-Powered Bot Impersonating Presidential Candidate

OpenAI has suspended AI startup Delphi for creating a ChatGPT-powered bot that violated the company's usage policies by impersonating presidential candidate Dean Philips. Delphi, founded by Silicon Valley businessmen Matt Krisiloff and Jed Somers, developed the bot named Dean.Bot to support Philips' presidential bid. However, OpenAI prohibits the use of AI in political campaigns. After the suspension, Delphi removed ChatGPT from the bot, but it was eventually shut down altogether by OpenAI. Experts warn that such technology may pose risks in elections. OpenAI is actively refining its tools to increase accuracy and prevent misuse.
