NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory has unveiled the PIC64-HPSC, a revolutionary space processor boasting 500 times the performance of current chips. Developed in collaboration with Microchip Technology, it enables real-time decision-making for autonomous space missions. Still undergoing qualification, its certification by late 2026 is critical for the Artemis IV crewed Moon landing in 2028.
