NASA's Artemis II Mission Chooses iPhone 17 Pro Max as Space Camera!

NASA's Artemis II mission is using the iPhone 17 Pro Max as a camera aboard its journey to the Moon. Reportedly traveling at 25,000 miles per hour, the mission includes four of these smartphones. Apple clarifies it was not involved in the selection process. This marks the first qualification of an iPhone for orbital use. Additional equipment includes GoPro HERO 11 and Nikon D5 cameras. Safety measures were rigorously applied in the selection process. The iPhones will not connect to the internet or use Bluetooth. Artemis II crew recently honored astronaut Jeremy Hansen with a gold pin.
