At Computex 2026, Intel's CEO Lip-Bu Tan introduced the Crescent Island GPU, targeting the AI inference market. Built on the Xe3P architecture, it supports up to 480GB of LPDDR5X memory, designed to bypass HBM shortages. While its bandwidth is lower than competing Nvidia models, Crescent Island's capacity offers a compelling alternative. Customer sampling is set for late 2026, with full commercial release expected in 2027.
