Google announced the launch of Studio Bot, an AI-powered coding bot for Android developers that generates code, helps with debugging errors and answers questions about Android. The bot is built on Codey, Google's new coding model and supports Kotlin and Java programming languages. Studio Bot is available to developers in the US through the Canary channel. Google is training the bot to improve its answers and will receive data on conversations developers have with the tool. This new coding tool stands in competition with AI-powered coding tools such as Amazon's CodeWhisperer and Microsoft's GitHub Copilot. However, Studio Bot is solely designed for Android developers.
