EU Launches €30 Billion Bid for AI Gigafactories

The European Commission has initiated a tender for seven AI gigafactories, aiming to bolster the EU’s AI capabilities with a projected budget of €30 billion. While €10 billion is pledged by the EU and member states, the rest relies on private investments. Each gigafactory will house cutting-edge AI chips, significantly enhancing Europe’s computing power.
