AI Writer Raises $100M for Enterprise-Focused Generative AI Platform, Surpasses $500M Valuation

AI Writer, a generative AI startup, has secured $100 million in a Series B funding round led by ICONIQ Growth. The company aims to develop a "full-stack" generative AI platform for businesses. With the new funding, Writer plans to create "industry-specific" text-generating AI models, allowing enterprises to easily retrieve augmented generation, gather and clean data, and construct workflows. Writer's models stand out by being trained on business writing that isn't copyrighted, being smaller and more cost-effective, and allowing customers to inspect code, features, and data. Writer claims to have attracted "hundreds" of customers, including Intuit, United Healthcare, and Uber.
