OpenAI Launches ChatGPT iOS App, Android App Coming Soon

OpenAI has launched a free ChatGPT app for iOS, which syncs chat history with the web and features voice input, using OpenAI's speech recognition model Whisper. The app warns not to trust the system’s answers or share sensitive information. The app has been rolled out in the US first and will expand to other countries in the coming weeks and an Android app is expected to launch soon. ChatGPT rapidly found a consumer audience who use the bot for everything from cheating on college essays to business applications and the launch of an official ChatGPT should stop people from signing up for spam and fake apps. The app offers priority access and responses generated using the company’s latest language model, GPT-4, with ChatGPT Plus priced at $20 a month.
