Heart On My Sleeve: Deepfake AI creates trending Drake and The Weeknd collab on TikTok
A fake song featuring Drake and The Weeknd called "Heart on My Sleeve" trended on TikTok, but it turns out it was actually created using deepfake and AI technology by a user named "Ghostwriter977." Despite the vocals sounding like real artists, none of the song's vocals were actually performed by Drake or The Weeknd. The song gained over 10 million views on TikTok and 250,000 streams on Spotify. Deepfake and AI technology have advanced to the point where it is possible to create seemingly legitimate pop culture content. This also raises concerns over the potential misuse of deepfake technology such as creating non-consensual porn or spreading disinformation.
